Sometimes, getting dressed for work every morning can be more challenging than fun. Although closet is full of clothes—countless dresses, pants, and sweaters—often I feel I have nothing to wear, and finding the perfect outfit in my closet isn't always easy. As much as I look forward to waking up each day, getting my children ready for school, and heading downtown to work, trying to decide what to wear can be frustrating. I have enjoyed every minute of this September heat wave, but today there was a chill in the air and it's clear that fall is back, much to my dismay. As much as I wish summer would last forever, I'm going to embrace the good things that come with fall: enjoying the colours of the changing leaves, leaving the windows open for that early morning breeze, and transitioning my closet to fall–I love comfy sweaters and skinny jeans, dresses worn with tights, and knee-high boots. The thing I love most about fall isn't the gorgeous, changing colours on the trees or the fact that there is a cool breeze in the air every morning—for me, it's all about the boots. Fall is officially here, and as much as I already miss summer, I am so excited for all the wonderful things that come with fall—especially shopping for new clothes like sweaters, leggings, and boots. Dressing for fall is the best, because there are so many different ways you can style your outfits, like layering tanks and tees with cute knits, wearing leggings with big cozy sweaters, and rocking a cute dress with tights and boots. I love finding new pieces I can wear to work, to parties, and when I'm out on the town with friends on weekends. I've finally come to terms with the fact that summer is over. I guess I don't really have a choice since it's fall, right? I sometimes have a hard time accepting change, especially when it's change I don't embrace. Now it's time to put one fashionable foot in front of the other and embrace fall and all the fabulous things that come with it—shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Maybe this is just a coping mechanism for me so it makes dealing with the fact that colder days are coming, or maybe it's just because I love to shop.
