Loukia has a background in communications, television, and radio. After graduating from Carleton University and Loyalist College, she completed internships at Entertainment Tonight and CBS TV in Washington, D.C., and worked in the media world before beginning her career in communications and marketing. Loukia started her blog in 2007 and writes for various publications, including Canadian Geographic Travel, Ottawa At Home, and LUXE Ottawa Magazine. She is also a frequent contributor on TV and radio in Ottawa, and published a children's book called Together, Apart: Life during the Coronavirus. Proceeds from the book went to CHEO and Kids Help Phone.

Greek Flavour

I have many amazing memories of spending summers in Greece when I was a child. Of course, one of the best things about vacationing in Greece—besides spending time with family and friends, swimming in the sea, and just having the best time ever—was the food! Greek food is my favourite, but to experience it in Greece is even better. Every breakfast was nothing more than fresh Greek yogurt with a touch of honey, which I enjoyed on my grandparent's balcony. It was perfection.
