Every year, I talk about making resolutions and sometimes, I don't follow through. Pretty common, right? However, this year—2016—I made realistic resolutions about taking better care of myself, starting from within. That means spending more time actually working out and being active, and not just talking about it. This means using my gym membership more than I did a year ago, and it means getting out and having fun with my children. There's nothing like having fun while staying active, like taking bike rides with the family, playing soccer, swimming, or skiing. I'm also eating better. It's amazing how even minor changes make me feel good right away; sure, I have cheat days where I indulge in dessert or chips, because you have to enjoy everything, in moderation; but overall, eating better makes me feel better, and sets a good example for my children. I'm taking daily vitamins, too. My favourite vitamins are  Nature's Bounty , especially Nature's Bounty ...

Winter is here, and there is nothing we can do about it. I know, it's not the most pleasant thought, considering it's only January, but here we are, so let's make the most out of it! Despite the fact that I'm still thinking about the days of backyard BBQs, summer dresses, and flip flops, I'm now happily rocking my new ankle booties, skinny jeans, and stylish scarf. As a mom, every day is an adventure. When I wake up in the morning, I never know what the day will bring, but I know it will involve some excitement, even if it's getting my kids out the door on time for school.  (That can be a work-out in itself!) Now that the weather has warmed up, it's hard to keep my children inside, which is a very good thing. We've been craving warmer, carefree days for a long time now, and we love spending as much time as possible outside, exploring the great outdoors. Taking a walk after dinner, spending time at the parks in our neighbourhood, and exploring the forest in the ravine near our home is an evening ritual for my family during spring and summer.
