From Miami to Orlando: A Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Experience

Florida is always a good idea—especially in the winter. This year, we decided to extend our winter vacation down south and drive to Orlando after a week of fun on the beach at the Diplomat Resort and Spa and at the Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour in Miami. We took a road trip to Orlando, which was only three hours away. Planning was easy; we decided to fly into the Fort Lauderdale airport, rent a vehicle, and leave from Orlando once our vacation was complete. My children are expert travellers and are always ready for an adventure! I was on Daytime Ottawa talking about some great resorts for family travel, and I loved that I was able to share our experience with the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando. It is the perfect resort to go to with the family. The  Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress , which I've written about before, is paradise. We were treated to a complimentary media stay and we enjoyed every minute—my children are already talking abou...

Top Six Family Summer Vacation Destinations

I love to travel. I love that my boys enjoy the adventure of travel, too. Now that they're older, travelling is much easier. I was on a plane before I turned one years old, and I lived in Greece for the first year of my life. I spent childhood summers in Greece, and winter vacations in Florida. From vacations in Venezuela, Aruba, Amsterdam, England, Mexico, California, New York City and Grand Cayman Island, I like to think I can offer some travel advice to my friends and readers. My family and I go to south Florida once or twice a year, and we love road trips to Chateau Montebello, Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Montreal. We loved vacationing in Maine and Bahamas. Sometimes, deciding where to go on vacation can be stressful, especially when you're traveling with children, so I've put together a list to help you decide where to vacation this summer. Here are my top six summer family vacation destinations: South Florida: If you're looking for a beach vacation that...

If You're A Foodie, You'll Love What Massachusetts Has To Offer

One of the things I love the most about traveling is eating. That's right, meal time is pretty important when choosing a vacation destination! I love food , and I love exploring new places to eat. I have my favourite restaurants in all the cities I frequently visit, but there's something very exciting about trying out a new place for the first time, too. There is something in Massachusetts for every vacationer who loves food. From seafood to pasta to delicious pastries, your taste buds will be very happy. Massachusetts: A Vacationer's Paradise

Sometimes, deciding where to spend your summer vacation can be a daunting task, especially if you're traveling with young children. The best vacations are the ones where lasting memories are made, and the ones where the entire family can have a great time. When I was 9 years old, I went on a summer road trip with my family and some friends to Cape Cod and Boston, Massachusetts . I still have vivid memories of our vacation—of our stay in a beach front home, of walks through the streets of Boston, and of discovering the beauty in all that Massachusetts had to offer. The thing is, Massachusetts has something to offer everyone , no matter what you love. Which means that choosing Massachusetts as a summer vacation destination is a very smart choice, and one that I highly recommend. If you are a beach lover like I am, Massachusetts has many incredible beaches to explore. From Cape Cod to Nantucket Island to Martha's Vineyard, the choices are endless... and pretty breatht...

Tips For Traveling With Children: From What To Wear To What To Pack

I was only a few months old the first time I traveled on a plane. I lived in Greece the first year of my life, and every second year after that, my parents would take me to Greece for the summer. I have fond memories of Greece, and of traveling with my family. From Florida to Maine to England, I enjoyed every vacation and the memories from each trip. Now my boys are avid travelers, too—from flying to road trips, they're got the travel bug like their mom. They're on their third passports, already. My children are easy and laid-back little travelers, which makes it much easier on me. I think traveling with your children at least once a year is very important. Travel really is  "...the only thing you buy that makes you richer." Even though we often go to our favourite resort  in south Florida every winter, each time we go, we leave with new wonderful memories to last a lifetime. It's become sort of a second home away from home for my boys. I have learned a...
