Overwhelmed With Support For Together, Apart: Life During The Coronavirus

We are so overwhelmed with everyone's support with our children's book Together, Apart: Life During the Coronavirus ! We are thankful to have been interviewed on 580 CFRA, 1310 News, CTV Ottawa Morning Live, CTV Noon , CBC Ottawa, Orleans Star, and Ottawa Matters . The support and kind words, feedback, and images we have received from people who have purchased and shared our book have made us so incredibly happy and grateful. You can see more pictures on my Instagram page, too, under my book highlights. We are still selling books, and catching up with orders, so thanks for your patience, as the mail delivery is a little slower these days. (You can either have your books mailed to you, or you can pick up from either my house or my mom's house, too, and we also drop off books to those who may not be able to travel right now). After receiving many requests for Together, Apart to be translated into French, we are happy to let you know that the book is now available...

Affordable And Stylish Must-Have Products For Back To School

I can't believe I'm talking about this, but it's almost time for the kids to head back to school. It's crazy how quickly summer passes, isn't it? It's also too bad winter months never, ever seem to go by as fast. I wish summer lasted year-round, but let's be honest—my kids are definitely needing routine back in their lives. And as much as I love lounging by the pool for hours every day... I am also ready for more regular routine. Yes, we've had a wonderful summer filled with great memories and vacations to Mont Tremblant and south Florida, and my boys enjoyed a couple of weeks of tennis camp, too. The rest of our summer days and nights were spent swimming and enjoying the great outdoors, and now... it's time to dust off the backpacks, and start thinking about making lunches every day. Are you ready? I am! (Except for the making lunches every day part. I could do without that.) I was on CTV Morning Live today talking about essential and afforda...

Back-To-School Giveaway With Tag Along Toys

Last week, I appeared on CTV Ottawa Morning Live to talk about budget-friendly back-to-school supplies. I had some great products on display from Hilroy , Thermos, Pottery Barn Kids, Mabel's Labels, and Tag Along Toys, a local toy store we love supporting. My boys enjoy shopping at Tag Along Toys here in Ottawa, because the store carries so many great toys, books, and supplies for school—unique items, too, like the backpack I featured on my segment. The best part about this adorable backpack? When you buy one, the company donates a schoolbag filled with supplies to a child in need. I love that. Tag Along Toys has generously put together the items I talked about on CTV in one package for me to give away to one of my local readers! Isn't that fabulous... and so perfect, since school is days away? (Or maybe your little ones have already started!) Here's what you'll be receiving:  The great backpack I talked about, a LEGO water bottle (how cool is that?)...

Give A Little Bit (And a Givopoly Giveaway)

It's no secret—I love to shop. I love to shop not only for myself and for my children, but for my friends and other family members, too. I love special occasions because it means I get to go shopping for the perfect gift for the people I love. Whether it's shopping for a gift for my child's friend, or a gift for my mom or best friend, I enjoy looking for things I know they'd love and appreciate. Besides hitting my favourite mall to find the perfect gift, I love shopping at Givopoly . Givopoly is a local gift concierge—a gift and gift basket delivery service. How amazing is that? Givopoly has over 70 partners and has over 1000 gifts to choose from that can be delivered the very next day. So let's say you just now remembered tomorrow is your best friend's birthday? No worries—check out the amazing gifts online at Givopoly, select your gift, and your friend will be calling you to say thanks the very next day! Like many of you, I don't have the luxu...

I'm in a giving mood...

It's official. I'm feeling festive. Despite the lack of snow and the unseasonably warm weather, I am so excited that the holidays are almost here. Seriously. Only one month left! It seems we went from trick-or-treating to deck-the-halls in no time at all. I start feeling a little festive the day I see the red cups at Starbucks. They make me so excited... and anxious! The panic is slowly setting in. The calendar is filling up quickly with holiday parties and events, Christmas lists are being made, shopping is about to get started, baking will soon commence, (God help me) and presents will need to get wrapped. (My area of expertise!) Well, I'm here to offer you some relief, at least in the shopping department. I'm like Santa's little helper, red hat and all. Every week until mid-December, I'll be having a holiday giveaway with some of my favorite stores, just for you... just for your children! Last year, I was fortunate enough to work with Tag Along Toys on a ...
