2 months already....

My baby Dimitry is already 2 months old! We had his two month appointment yesterday, and he weighed in at 13 pounds, 3 ounces! My big boy! Christos was 12 pounds, 9 ounces at 2 months old. It's been so much fun staying home with my boys... my hubby has had all this time off work, too, so he's been a great big help, along with my mom, mother-in-law and grandmother. Seriously, though - babies are so easy! I go shopping with Dimitry and I can take my time, trying clothes on, grabbing a coffee, flipping through magazines... it's shopping with a toddler that is a little more challenging! I like the comfort of knowing the shopping centres I go to have nice nursing rooms, so I can go and feed the baby and continue on with my day. Christos is growing and he is so smart. His words and sentences amaze me everyday. He's got the greatest sense of humour, too. He is hilarious! He's also a loving, gentle big brother. I love my boys! I already want another one... I just have to co...

Just pictures...

Cause I have not time to write anything now! (No, it's not because of facebook...heehee...) Zafy, Dimitry's soon to be Godmother, and Christos. Me and my baby. Christos having fun in the snow.

My baby boy is almost 2 months old!

Wow, where does time go? I can't believe next week, my baby Dimitry will be two months old! All I have to say is, having a newborn in the house again is amazing, and wonderful, and soooo much more easy then the first time... my precious baby boy is just such a joy, and his never ending smiles, well, they melt me in puddles all day long... not to mention his loving older brother, Christos, who gives him kisses all the time, and says "it's okay, mitry..." if he starts to cry... I have to say, it's been easy. And fun. And I already want another one! Dimitry is probably around 13 pounds now - probably way more since size 6 months clothes are tight on him, I can't wait to find out what he weighs next week! He feeds well, takes the bottle (so I can go out with Christos, go shopping, or hit the gym!) and he sleeps great, too! Thank goodness!

Mommy of two beautiful boys!

So my baby Dimitry was born on January 18th... I had the best labour and delivery ever! Super fast...4 hour labour, 6 minutes of pushing. Got an epi, which I hated (ewww.... the feeling of the needle in my spine!!) Anyway baby Dimitry is gorgeous and healthy and a super champ eater, and his big brother Christos is so great and wonderful and gentle with him. I'm getting used to no sleep again, but it's worth it... so worth it! I'm loving every second. It's tough with two though - thank goodness hubby is off on paternity leave for a couple months to help and thank goodness for my mom, mom-in-law and grandmother and dad and father in law and sister to help out! :) I'm loving being home with my babies... :)

Maternity leave!

Officially after today I am on maternity leave! I have so much to write about and no time... hopefully over Christmas! :) Have a very Merry Christmas everyone! (All 2 or 3 of you! LOL!)

My baby is growing up!

Yesterday Christos's new bedroom furniture arrived and my hubby spent all day putting it together. It's so gorgeous, his room looks amazing, and I will post pictures soon! We got him a new bookcase, a queen sized bed, a new dresser and night table. He never loved his crib, and he never liked his PBK toddler bed, which is a shame, but hopefully his brother will use it! I wanted to get him a big bed so he can have for many years and also, so I can sleep with him comfortably whenever the need arises. He is also very used to big beds, taking his naps at my parents and inlaws house on their big beds. Thank goodness I don't have to spend another night putting him to bed on the floor mattress he was using - it was killing my pregnant body, getting up and down from the floor, and making my heartburn even worse! So, my little boy was SO EXCITED with her new furniture in his lovely room, he was running around saying "NO CHANGE TABLE!" last night... it was way too cute! I sl...

Friday afternoon post...with pictures!

Not much to say except bring on the weekend! Tonight is my son's nursery school's auction, which I'm excited to go to! The rest of the weekend will involve shopping for a perfect pair of winter boots for my little one and trying to stay out of hubby's hair as his finishes the new nursery for baby Dimitry's room... he'll be installing the hardwood floors, just like Christos's room. Here are some cute pics of my son in Toronto last weekend, with my best friend's little girl. They had 2 dates; one, in our hotel room, where they ordered room service for lunch; and 2, in Pottery Barn Kids... awww... how cute are they!

The best news, ever....

Yesterday was Christos's ultrasound appointment and meeting with his urologist, Dr. Pike. He's been going for u/s's every 6 months to monitor his hydronephrosis that he is outgrowing - basically it's just a (common) condition that little boys get when they are born and they usually outgrow it by the time they are 2 to 3 years old. Christos had 2 really bad UTI's that required hospitalization at CHEO - the first time, at 3 months, the second time, at 6 months. I know I've talked about that before here, so I won't get into how horrible an experience that was for all of us - I just wanted to share the news that his u/s results from yesterday were EXCELLENT! No more antibiotics needed! Yay! Well, he stopped taking his antibiotics a few months ago, anyway - but still - to hear it told to us officially from his doctor was great news. So, he has outgrown his condition... we are so thankful. :) Thankful also for his wonderful doctor that has taken such good care of ...

Random Friday post...

I don't have anything specific to talk about... I mean, I would if I could think straight for two minutes but I've been busy! With work and taking care of my toddler, there is never enough time! Lord knows how I will manage with a newborn and a toddler, but I'll manage, everyone does. Plus we have lots of help so we'll be fine. The lack of sleep is kinda scaring me, but hey... again, I'll get through it! So we are off for our trip to Toronto tomorrow, for my mom's art show, to hang out with our awesome friends Suzanne, Eamon and their baby girl, Katherine - she is 3 months older then Christos and last time they saw eachother (a year ago!) they had fun together. I can't wait for them to see eachother again. Also, I'll be doing some serious damage at Pottery Barn and especially Pottery Barn Kids. I have a ton of stuff on hold there already. The last time I was at that Pottery Barn location, it helped me conceive... as two days later I took a pregnancy test...
