Mother's Day is a few days away, and I'm excited because I'll just be coming back from New York City, which means I'll be receiving extra love and hugs from my two boys. Although being away from them is hard—even if it is only a couple of days—the welcome I receive when I'm back always warms my heart.
Being a mom is truly the best gift of all—and spending time with my children is always something I cherish, on Mother's Day, and all the days.
Being a mother means so many things, and to me, it is the most amazing experience. Even though being a mom is one of the toughest jobs in the world, it's what life is all about, after all. If my boys are happy, I'm happy. It's that simple. Every day has its challenges, but life is filled with a greater purpose when you're a parent.
This Mother's Day, I'll be doing all sorts of things I love with my boys.
My top three favourite things to do on Mother's Day?
1. Going out for lunch with my family and taking a walk around the market. I love activities that we can all do together that keep us active and outside.
2. Getting some "me" time and going shopping or visiting the spa. It's the perfect time to stock up on summer essentials, like cute new white jeans, and NYDJ is my go-to brand for jeans. I love all the options and colours, and I love the way the skinny jeans fit like a (comfortable) glove. It's truly denim that flatters all women, shapes, and sizes.
3. I love ending my Mother's Day by relaxing on the couch with my boys with popcorn and a favourite movie. I don't even mind if we're watching Star Wars again!
I'm so glad NYDJ sent me their new "Spotless Reputation" white jeans—because when I'm out with the kids, it's not uncommon that I'll get a little dirty. These jeans are amazing because they resist liquid spills for up to 15 washes. Seriously! Truly amazing, and if I have to do less laundry... I'm a happy mom. Getting through the day stain-free is a very good thing.
