This year, on Christmas Eve, after our festivities at my parent's house, we hung out around our tree before putting the boys to bed. My boys gave me a little blue box to open up, and excited as I was, I wanted to 're-capture' the great picture that was taken last year. For some reason, my youngest son wasn't in a very co-operative mood, almost refusing to sit with brother for the picture. I had no idea why, until later... you can see in the picture for yourself why he was so uncomfortable - in the rush to leave my parents house, in all the excitement on Christmas Eve, we forgot to put a diaper back on our baby. Oops.

I discovered this when I brought him upstairs to put on his pajamas. I took off his pants and... well, let's just say... it was very messy. Very messy indeed. And not just pee-pee messy.
Now I know why my baby was in such a bad mood - and I'll try to never forget to put a diaper on my baby again!

That made me laugh.
So cute! We've all been there. I went out once having forgotten to feed my son breakfast. Mother Of The Year I am not.
That's hilarious. Poor kid (and poor parents). At least it's a story you can save for future Christmases. Remember the time...
Oh thanks for that lovely laugh on a morning when I needed it! A fun memory for you :-)
This is TOO funny. I feel so bad for you! The other day Sophia took Miles diaper off and put her princess underpants on him. They were both so quiet and happy playing in her undies! Thankfully there were no accidents but it SO could have happened. Poor little guy.
Still the blue box can cheer anyone up!
OMG this is TOO funny! I get SO excited about the little blue box. It's the best!
Oh, Life!!
I love it when these moments happen and you actually capture them--course glad it happended to you-not me!
We've all done it! Poor little boy though :)
Hey did that little blue box contain your diamond studs? Still thinking of that & sad for you....
That is so cute!!! What a mess and that second picture is hilarious!
oh, have I been there!! I almost want to say 'poor mama' rather than 'poor baby.' Being on the cleanup end is no fun!
We have all done those mistakes - don't worry! :-) I am sure it was WAY worse for you then for him. These pictures will be a nice memory to show your kids one day!
What a great story Loulou :) I bet he was a little uncomfortable. We're not perfect and we all do the best we can! It's nice to read these posts because it makes me realise I'm a normal everday MOM :)
OMG That is too much! I laughed so hard!
Shane
They are so cute!
I wish I couldn't relate, but I totally CAN!!! Usually this is b/c she takes her diaper off on her own and then puts her pants back on . . . but I am still cleaning up the mess all the same :)
I don't know what you're talking about. I have NEVER done anything like that! ;-) Ha, ha!
PRICELESS...absolutely priceless...
Whoopsie!! I'm guessing that's a mistake you only make ONCE! HA HA HA!
Both are extremely charming photos. Do tell - what was in the little blue box?
Awww! You know, the only thing is, you're setting a precedent to receive a little blue box every year! ;)
Ha! That sounds like something I would do. In fact, I think I have. Poor kid, he really doesn't look happy in that picture!
But yay for blue boxes!! They have a way of making a mom forgetful. :)
LOL! Too funny!!
An honest mistake that I keep expecting to make myself! :)
Betcha never do that again! LOL
Ha! Ouch. Ew.
I got a blue box, too, but it had a porcelain Beatrix Potter sippy cup inside for my baby. Who gives a baby porcelain?!
Oh no! Whoops! A prime example of what the holidays can do to a person! Sorry to hear about the resulting mess. Yikes.
Awww! Poor little man! But the photo is gonna be hilarious when he's a teen!
ugh, don't get me started, we just cleaned up a similar mess in the bathroom. gross.
the boys do look adorable, though!
LOL! Classic!!! And that first picture is so AWESOME!
Oh, poor baby. Poor mommy, too! Great shots, though, and that first one is too precious!
OMG...that is hilarious...and it isn't.
Hope what was in the box was worth it.
HA!! Omg that is too funny!!! So great that you captured it on camera- and on blog!
