What To See And Where To Stay In NYC During The Holiday Season

New York City is always a good idea, but it's even more magical during the holiday season. Spending a few days in the Big Apple in November and December is a great way to celebrate the festive season, and there is so much to see and do—and most of the sightseeing is free, which is an added bonus. I was on CTV Morning Live today talking about what to do in the Big Apple this time of year. Where to stay: Four Seasons New York Downtown: Where you stay in NYC is important, especially if you're travelling with your family and children. Our recent stay at the brand-new Four Seasons New York Downtown was simply spectacular. Near the 9/11 memorial and One World Trade, and only a few blocks from the Brooklyn Bridge, the Four Seasons New York Downtown offers excellent in-room dining options created by chef Shaun Acosta, which we loved, because we could dine in our spacious suite, without having to worry about where to eat in NYC, allowing us more time to take in the sights and ...

Luxury In New York City, Four Seasons Style

There is nothing more magical than spending the holiday season in the city that never sleeps. A trip to New York City is always a great idea, but when you travel to New York City in November and December, it's even more incredible. Although I've been a dozen times, it's never enough, and I start planning my next trip while I'm still there. Walking down Fifth Avenue to check out the beautifully decorated store window displays and skating at Rockefeller Center while looking up at the famous Christmas tree makes a trip to New York City during the festive season a must for those who to love to travel. Where you stay in New York City is important, and can make the trip even more memorable. I had the great pleasure of staying in the luxurious, brand-new Four Seasons New York Downtown in November with my family, and it was absolutely delightful. It's exactly what you'd expect a stay at the Four Seasons to be; incredible service, luxurious rooms, (we didn't want...

A Luxurious Experience At The Guerlain Spa

I just got back from a beautiful trip to New York City, and I'm missing it already. Of course, every time I leave, I start planing my next visit in my head, because I can never get enough of the most vibrant city in the world. On this trip to New York City, I had the wonderful opportunity of reviewing the incredible Guerlain Spa in the Waldorf Astoria. Pinch me—I was totally living a Blair Waldorf day. The Guerlain Spa is quite simply the epitome of luxury in this world-class hotel. Tranquility awaits as soon as the elevator doors open on the 19th floor—and it's quite the breathtaking view, too. After changing into my robe and slippers, I was brought to the relaxing waiting lounge where I enjoyed a cup of tea before my facial.   Guerlain has been devoted to skincare and beauty since 1828. In 1939, Guerlain created one of the first spas in the world on avenue des Champs- Elysées,  and today, Guerlain is just as popular as ever for those who are passionate about b...

Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring The Rockettes: A NYC Holiday Tradition

I've been back from New York City only a few days, but I miss it so much. It was a wonderful trip, as all trips to NYC are, and we had an incredible stay at the Langham Place , right on 5th Avenue. A highlight of our weekend in New York City was being invited to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, starring the Rockettes . This season marks the 83rd (!!!) year of the production, and it's  one of America's most beloved and anticipated holiday shows—and a family tradition. The Christmas Spectacular first hit the stage on December 21, 1933 at Radio City Music Hall, and since then, over 75 million people have enjoyed the show. And what a show it was... The 2015 edition featured the dazzling, incredible Rockettes and their popular dance numbers, including everyone's favourite, The Parade of The Wooden Soldiers. In 2012, while I was in NYC for the annual BlogHer conference, I was invited to dance with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall with some of my othe...

Langham Place State Of Mind

New York City—a city I can't get enough of, no matter how many times I visit. I always fall in love with all the city has to offer—from Broadway shows to fine dining, luxury hotels, and, of course, the shopping. It's more than all that, though; this city is alive in a way no other city is. It truly is the city that never sleeps. This past weekend I had the incredible opportunity to stay at and review the beautiful and luxurious Langham Place hotel, right in the heart of Manhattan. Thank you, Langham Place, for the special invite! We stayed in a beautiful Family One Bedroom Suite. This upscale hotel is in the perfect location on 5th Avenue, steps away from Empire State Building, Bryant Park, Rockefeller Centre, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Central Park. Langham Place in NYC offers something for everyone , from families to couples, and no matter who you're travelling with, Langham Place delivers. And the views? They...
