Birthday celebrations

I could not have asked for a better day to celebrate Christos's 4th birthday party. Amazingly, it was a beautiful day, weather-wise. We were so lucky, because it pretty much rained all through July.

And having a birthday party for my 4 year old with all his friends - a dozen or so - would not have been as fun indoors, you know? (For my sanity, especially!)

Christos wanted a cotton candy machine and a popcorn machine at his birthday party, so of course, that's what we got! And the kids loved it, of course.

We ate so much food and enjoyed his beautiful cake that tasted even better than it looked!

His favourite present was a crystal making kit and this 'crystal mining kit' that he got busy with right away. I was happy too, as it kept some of the kids busy for a while!

It was a great day... and I wasn't even that emotional - I'm so happy my baby boy is 4 years old! I have a 4 year old... so cool.

Happy birthday to your little man. That cake looks amazing!
By far the MOST beautiful kids cake I've ever seen. I always think I'm the best for making cupcakes with homemade frosting (hate that box stuff) while everyone else buys sheet cakes from the grocery store - but FONDANT!? I want you to be MY mom!

I want the dish! My daughter turns 5 in September and also wants cotton candy/popcorn. Where did you rent the machines from?

And where is that gorgeous cake from?

Aww, that sounds like you guys had a great time. I am so happy for you (and Christos). Four year olds are fun. Since turning four, my oldest son is really starting to grow up. Good...but also sad.
BTW, that cake was beautiful! I am planning a Birthday party for my youngest who turns 1 in 2 weeks. Hopefully, it will go as well as yours. Pink tiaras all around!
That's awesome! I totally want a cotton candy machine at my birthday party, too.

Happy Birthday Christos!!

Computer got all nuts when I left comment so I apologize if this came thru twice...

Looks like you pulled off quite the fete! I love the little Burberry shirts on the boys... such a stylish mama. My favorite picture is the one with you, the boys and your parents. Dimitry with his hands up in the air is just priceless! LOVE IT!

I thought that was you with your parents, too! You'd gone to the salon that morning, so I thought maybe you'd gone dark and curly!

Awesome photos. Congrats on a pulling off a great birthday!

Beautiful cake and beautiful photos!! Four is a great age!! You are brave to use fondant. I made a Madeline hat cake one time. It was cute but so difficult to make smooth.

You guys!! Of course I did not make the cake!! I can't even apply icing on cupcakes without a disaster! But thanks for thinking I did!! We have a great cake lady...
