Get Your Workout On With My Legwear Shop

Now that summer is here, I'm back to a regular workout routine. My mornings start with me enjoying breakfast with my boys, putting on my work out clothes, taking the kids to school, and heading straight to the gym.  It's amazing how much better I feel after a great workout, especially now that the days are warmer. It's so much easier to push myself and motivate myself at the gym when I'm in "summer mode".  If I'm not at at the gym, I'm in the pool, or lounging by the pool, and knowing I'm feeling my best makes putting on a bikini that much easier.

Having cute workout clothes helps, too—having tops and pants that fit well and look good so you can have a killer workout is very important, you know!

I recently discovered www.mylegwearshop.com and love the variety of leggings and active wear they offer—and I'm so happy they sent me some active wear, too. Ordering online was simple and fun. The only hard part was deciding which pair of leggings to select... and which tops to choose out of the many they have online. I'm happy to report that my package arrived within days, and everything fit perfectly.

My Legwear Shop aims at helping people dress comfortably, whether at work, at home, or at the gym. I love that their core principle is CCC: comfort, confidence, and convenience. I couldn't agree more—and I love the styles and products they offer.

If you love shopping—and online shopping—make sure to check them out. I promise you, you'll love what you see, and more importantly, you'll love the items you select, from premium athletic wear, leggings, yoga pants, and tops.

Now go get your sweat on! Thank you, My Legwear Shop, for the awesome athletic gear. Working out is even more fun now.

Shopping Made Easy With Loblaws Click And Collect

Disclosure: I am a P&G mom. As part of my affiliation with this group, I have been compensated to test the Loblaws Click & Collect service. The opinions and views on this blog are my own.

So we all know that grocery shopping is not always fun. It's time consuming, and no matter how long I spend walking from aisle to aisle, I arrive home to remember the one item I actually truly needed—is still at the grocery store! Sigh. Of course. I remember the days when my boys were much younger, when grocery shopping was even more of a challenge. I had to plan my trips to the grocery store around my baby's nap time, and sometimes, I would be a nervous wreck grocery shopping, scared that my baby would have a meltdown and start crying.

What has made my life much easier—and will certainly help out new moms, too— has been using Loblaws Click and Collect. It's online shopping, made easy. And it's actually so much fun, too!

While I'm working, I go to shop.loblaws.ca, and start my grocery shopping, without having to get in my car to drive to the grocery store to shop. This has saved me a lot of time, and I'm loving how efficient and easy it is to find everything.

Once you select the store you'll be picking up your groceries from, you can start your online shopping. You can even browse by aisle, and by brand. You can start in the bakery aisle, then go to dairy and eggs, and then meat and seafood, pantry, baby needs, household supplies, baby needs, and beauty. So simple and easily laid out, to make your shopping experience better. It's impossible to forget what you need when you're shopping in such an organized way. I love that you can see all the products you're shopping for, too.

The process of selecting your items is easy and only takes a few minutes—much less time than going to the grocery store to do your shopping! When you're finished your online shopping, you select your pick-up time, and drive to your Loblaws location at your convenience. Once there, you just call the phone number, and wait in your car for your groceries to be brought to you. It is simple, quick, and very efficient—and you should definitely give it a try and let me know how much you love it, too!

Grocery Shopping Chaos (And Saving Mommy Minutes)

Disclosure: I am a P&G mom. As part of my affiliation with this group, I have been compensated to test the Loblaws Click & Collect service. The opinions and views on this blog are my own.

One thing I love about being my own boss and working from home is having the flexibility to take my children to school, and to pick them up at the end of the day. In the hours between, I get a lot done, starting with going to the gym. I love my weekly routine, and working out is one thing I do first thing in the morning before I tackle all my work—housework, working, and the dreaded trips to the grocery store.

I can honestly say I spend a lot of time in the grocery store, buying food for my family (it truly is amazing just how much food two boys can eat in a week!) and other household items.

Of course, by the end of the week, I'm giving my kids whatever we have left in the house for breakfast and their school lunch, reminding myself that I need to head to the grocery store to stock up yet again, because no one wants a cheese sandwich for lunch.

I would say I'm in the grocery store an average of an hour or two every week. And that's being generous. Although I try to stay organized and shop with a list, I often find myself shopping in a scattered way throughout the grocery store. This is why we sometimes have several boxes of crackers and no bread at home. And this is definitely why I have a hard time coming up with dinner ideas every night, because I don't plan ahead like I should, or shop with a list. Often, I get home, only to discover I've actually forgotten to buy the things I needed. You know, the important things like milk, orange juice and eggs? Sigh. There has got to be a better way to grocery shop!

I know I could be doing so much more with my time if there was a more efficient and easy way to grocery shop. Just imagine how much more you could be doing instead of pushing a shopping cart around the grocery store aimlessly? I know I would rather spend the extra time at home, writing, or putting in another half hour at the gym, or grabbing lunch with my friends, especially now that patio season is in full swing. Heck, I'd even rather do another load of laundry!

Efficient grocery shopping means I can save mommy minutes, and that sounds like a solid plan to me.

I'll be writing about just how I plan on doing this next week—and I'll be giving away a gift card to help you, too.

Who doesn't want more time to do the things they actually want to do? Sign me up!

A Luxurious Experience At The Guerlain Spa

I just got back from a beautiful trip to New York City, and I'm missing it already. Of course, every time I leave, I start planing my next visit in my head, because I can never get enough of the most vibrant city in the world.

On this trip to New York City, I had the wonderful opportunity of reviewing the incredible Guerlain Spa in the Waldorf Astoria. Pinch me—I was totally living a Blair Waldorf day. The Guerlain Spa is quite simply the epitome of luxury in this world-class hotel. Tranquility awaits as soon as the elevator doors open on the 19th floor—and it's quite the breathtaking view, too.

After changing into my robe and slippers, I was brought to the relaxing waiting lounge where I enjoyed a cup of tea before my facial.

Guerlain has been devoted to skincare and beauty since 1828. In 1939, Guerlain created one of the first spas in the world on avenue des Champs-Elysées, and today, Guerlain is just as popular as ever for those who are passionate about beauty, skin-care, and fragrance—and luckily, you don't even have to fly to Paris to experience it.

During my visit, I was treated to the new revolutionary Beauty Lift Facial. It sound intense, but it was relaxing. It was a stretching and massaging facial created to target wrinkles and fine lines while activating microcirculation. My complexion was instantly more radiant after, and my cheeks were more plump and full. The eyebrow bone was naturally lifted, as well. The aim of this incredible facial is to stretch and relax the most tense areas, prevent the drooping of facial features, and restore volume and density to the parts of the face which lack firmness. The lady doing my facial was extremely professional, and knew my skin better I knew it myself. I was well taken care of.

After my facial, I had my make-up professionally done, and the timing was perfect, since I was off to a wedding in at the Loeb Central Park Boathouse.

My experience at the Guerlain Spa was relaxing, comfortable, and very luxurious. I would recommend this spa to anyone visiting New York City; not only will you get to walk through the stunning Waldorf Astoria, you'll be treated to a one-of-a-kind spa day that'll you be very thankful to have experienced.

For more information, call the Guerlain Spa at 1-212-872-7200.

May Is For Muddy Gardens Minus The Mess

Disclosure: I am a P&G mom ambassador. As part of my affiliation with this group, I receive products and have been compensated to put Tide to the stain test. The opinions on this blog are my own.

It's May, and although it's been unseasonable cold this month, the last few days have finally proven that spring is most definitely here—and we have some work to do to get our gardens ready for summer!

The sun is shining, the days are long, and I'm wearing my flip flops... which makes me so excited. Although I'm not naturally someone with a green thumb, this nice weather prompted me to get out and grow a little garden with some pretty flowers and tulips, as chosen by my children. That's right... we planted flowers outside and they look so pretty!

So far, so good, as the plants are alive and thriving, and... I didn't even break a nail. (Ha!) I did, however, get my white t-shirt covered in soil, and I was a little concerned I wouldn't be able to remove the stains so my little T would like like new again.

I put Tide Ultra Stain Release to the test, and was so surprised to see that after one wash, it was as good as new. Tide Ultra Stain Release really does "get it out", no matter what type of stain you're dealing with. Getting muddy—you or the kids—is no problem with Tide Ultra Stain Release. Phew!

In fact, Tide removes over 100 stains in one wash, which is very good news since I'm a busy mom of two kids, who, especially now that the warmer days are here, are always outside playing without a care in the world if their clothes are getting stained and dirty.

The process is pretty, simple, too.

Here's how I get out even the toughest stains when I'm doing laundry:

1. I remove all excess stain debris from the garment (with a wet cloth, blotting the fabric to dilute the stain).
2. I pre-treat large, tough stains by using the Tide Ultra Stain Release Zap!Cap as a pre-treatment (only if the stain is pretty big).
3. I pop the clothes in the washer on a regular warm wash cycle and use Tide Ultra Stain Release.

You can find out even more great tips on stain removal at tide.ca.

Now, go outside and get dirty—you'll have one less thing to worry about now that you know your stains won't be a problem anymore!

Style And Comfort Together: A Hush Puppies Shoe Giveaway

I'm a girl who can't wear flats. Seriously, for some reason, even walking the streets of NYC for hours on end—or Disney World, or Athens—is more comfortable for me if I'm in shoes with a little bit of a heel. Of course, the shoes have to be stylish, too.

When I used to think of stylish shoes Hush Puppies didn't instantly come to mind, but after trying some of their new boots and heels, I've been pleasantly surprised with the results. People are always surprised when I tell them my favourite pair of high-heeled leather and suede boots are Hush Puppies. Style and comfort together is key.

I'm glad Hush Puppies asked me to work with them in getting the word out about their new line of shoes for summer, and I'm even happier that I get to give away a pair of shoes to YOU!

I know you'll love Hush Puppies just as much as I do. I can't wait for you to discover why this shoe company is renowned for their comfy shoes and fashionable trends.

To enter to win, leave me a comment below telling me what you look for when buying new shoes.

I'll pick a winner randomly by May 20th.

Good Luck!

Making Mother's Day Special With NYDJ

Mother's Day is a few days away, and I'm excited because I'll just be coming back from New York City, which means I'll be receiving extra love and hugs from my two boys. Although being away from them is hard—even if it is only a couple of days—the welcome I receive when I'm back always warms my heart.

Being a mom is truly the best gift of all—and spending time with my children is always something I cherish, on Mother's Day, and all the days.

Being a mother means so many things, and to me, it is the most amazing experience. Even though being a mom is one of the toughest jobs in the world, it's what life is all about, after all. If my boys are happy, I'm happy. It's that simple. Every day has its challenges, but life is filled with a greater purpose when you're a parent.

This Mother's Day, I'll be doing all sorts of things I love with my boys.

My top three favourite things to do on Mother's Day?

1. Going out for lunch with my family and taking a walk around the market. I love activities that we can all do together that keep us active and outside.

2. Getting some "me" time and going shopping or visiting the spa. It's the perfect time to stock up on summer essentials, like cute new white jeans, and NYDJ is my go-to brand for jeans. I love all the options and colours, and I love the way the skinny jeans fit like a (comfortable) glove. It's truly denim that flatters all women, shapes, and sizes.

3. I love ending my Mother's Day by relaxing on the couch with my boys with popcorn and a favourite movie. I don't even mind if we're watching Star Wars again!

I'm so glad NYDJ sent me their new "Spotless Reputation" white jeans—because when I'm out with the kids, it's not uncommon that I'll get a little dirty. These jeans are amazing because they resist liquid spills for up to 15 washes. Seriously! Truly amazing, and if I have to do less laundry... I'm a happy mom. Getting through the day stain-free is a very good thing.

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day, however you're celebrating it.  And hopefully you'll get the chance to do some shopping for yourself, too!

Mach Break Survival Guide With P&G

March Break is around the corner and that means... the kids will be home with us. All day. Every day. Yes, it's a beautiful thing, and in all honestly, I cherish all the time I have with my children. We're going to Mont Tremblant for a little getaway but for the days that we're here, we still want to keep the kids busy and active! I was on CTV Morning Live talking about ways to keep the busy this summer, while still staying sane at home, thanks to P&G.

Here are some ideas I love:

Camps: Get your kids in some sort of day camp! Whether it's for half the day, or full-day, Ottawa.ca has a list of all the great camps for your kids, to keep them busy, from sports to arts and drama.

Tag Along Toys: Tag Along Toys, in Kanata or in the south end, has all the arts supplies and toys you'll need to keep your little ones entertained this March Break. They are even having hands-on activities for kids every day during March Break.

In The Home: Before your kids say bye to their teachers, make sure you've got your supplies ready at home. I cannot live without my Bounty paper towels, my Dawn dishwashing soap, and my Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. If you have all the right cleaning supplies at home, life will be so much easier and you'll be able to tackle all the chores—big and small—without any problems! The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser really is magical... it even got rid of Sharpie all over my hardwood floors, closet doors, and walls. (Thanks to my son for putting it to the test so well!)

Happy March Break, everyone!
